Summary
This study tested a drug called crovalimab in 95 people with sickle cell disease to see if it could prevent painful vaso-occlusive episodes (VOEs), also known as sickle cell crises. Participants received either crovalimab or a placebo alongside their usual treatments. The goal was to measure how often VOEs occurred over a year and to check for safety.
