Summary
This study tested a medicine called crovalimab to see if it can prevent painful vaso-occlusive episodes (VOEs) in people with sickle cell disease. 95 participants received either crovalimab or a placebo alongside their usual treatments. The goal was to reduce the number of VOEs requiring medical care over one year.
