Gel vs. bone graft: new trial aims to simplify tooth socket healing
NCT ID NCT07496437
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether a gel made from cross-linked hyaluronic acid can preserve the jawbone after a tooth is pulled, compared to the standard method using bone graft material. About 48 adults needing a tooth removed and later a dental implant will be randomly assigned to one of two treatments. The goal is to see if the gel works just as well at preventing bone loss, which could simplify the procedure and reduce healing time.
