First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study compares a gel made from cross-linked hyaluronic acid (a natural substance) to standard bone grafting for preserving the jawbone after a tooth is pulled. The goal is to see if the gel works just as well, with less healing time and fewer complications. About 48 adults needing a tooth extraction and later a dental implant will take part.
