First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to treat narrowed sections of the small intestine caused by Crohn's disease. It compares a precise incision method using a balloon-assisted scope to the standard balloon dilation. The goal is to see which approach better relieves symptoms and keeps patients from needing repeat procedures or surgery. About 100 adults with Crohn's and bowel strictures shorter than 5 cm will take part.
