Stool test could help stop Crohn's disease from coming back after surgery

Summary
This study is testing a new strategy to prevent Crohn's disease from returning after intestinal surgery. Researchers want to see if checking a simple stool test (fecal calprotectin) 3 months after surgery and adjusting medication earlier if needed works better than the current standard of waiting 6 months. The goal is to reduce the high rate of disease recurrence that often happens even after successful surgery.
