Summary

This early-stage study tests a drug called crofelemer in 6 adults with short bowel syndrome who have an ileostomy and rely on IV nutrition. The goal is to see if the drug can reduce stoma output and the amount of IV support needed. Participants take crofelemer powder three times daily for 12 weeks, with a 4-week follow-up.
