New drug combo shows promise for rare breast and stomach cancers
NCT ID NCT03620643
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested a combination of two drugs, crizotinib (a tablet) and fulvestrant (an injection), in 33 people with advanced lobular breast cancer that is estrogen-receptor positive. It also tested crizotinib alone in people with diffuse gastric cancer, triple-negative lobular breast cancer, or other solid tumors with a CDH1 gene mutation. The main goal was to see if the treatment could shrink tumors, and researchers also monitored side effects. This was the first time these two drugs were used together.
