NCT ID NCT07478367
First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study investigates whether serious muscle weakness, known to affect ICU patients, also occurs in those hospitalized outside the ICU. Researchers will follow 600 adults in non-ICU wards, half with organ failure and half without, to track how often weakness develops and what factors increase risk. The goal is to raise awareness and improve care for this often-overlooked condition.
