New anxiety drug shows promise in early trial

Summary

This study tests a new medication called crisugabalin for people with generalized anxiety disorder. About 216 Chinese adults will receive either crisugabalin, a placebo, or an existing drug (venlafaxine) for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if crisugabalin reduces anxiety symptoms better than a placebo.
