New combo therapy targets tough leukemia in early trial

Summary
This study tests a new drug called crifortinib besylate combined with standard chemotherapy for adults who have not yet been treated for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The goal is to see if the combination is safe and works better than chemo alone. About 133 adults aged 18 and older will take part, with some needing a specific genetic marker (FLT3-ITD). The trial is currently recruiting.
