Stretching and creatine show promise for leg pain sufferers

NCT ID NCT04471792

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking creatine supplements and doing muscle stretching exercises could help people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) walk longer distances. PAD causes leg pain due to poor blood flow. Thirteen adults with PAD took part in a 4-week program of stretching, with some also taking creatine. The main goal was to see if these treatments improved walking distance in a 6-minute walk test.
