New hope for older adults with aggressive leukemia: experimental drug combo tested

Summary
This study tests whether a new drug called CPX-351 works better than standard chemotherapy for adults aged 50 and older with a newly diagnosed, aggressive form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). About 248 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either CPX-351 or standard intensive chemo. The main goal is to see if more patients achieve deep remission with less leftover cancer cells after the first round of treatment.
