Summary
This study tests whether keeping very premature babies on CPAP (a breathing machine) for a longer time, instead of switching to a nasal tube, can lower their risk of a serious lung disease called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) or death. About 860 babies born before 29 weeks will take part. The goal is to see if extended CPAP support leads to better lung health by 36 weeks after conception.
