Which CPAP is easier on tiny lungs? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07513051

First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at two types of breathing machines (CPAP) used in premature babies born at 32 weeks or earlier. The goal is to see if a constant-flow machine works just as well as a variable-flow machine in reducing the baby's breathing effort. About 20 babies will be tested on both machines, and their diaphragm activity will be measured to compare the two.
