First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at two types of breathing machines (CPAP) used in premature babies born at 32 weeks or earlier. The goal is to see if a constant-flow machine works just as well as a variable-flow machine at reducing the baby's breathing effort. Twenty babies will each try both machines for a short time, and their diaphragm activity will be measured to compare.
