First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a CPAP machine to treat sleep apnea soon after a stroke can help the heart and lower the chance of another stroke. About 71 people who had a stroke and also had moderate to severe sleep apnea took part. Researchers measured changes in heart size and blood markers over a year to see if CPAP treatment made a difference.
