First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study compared how often patients on breathing machines developed lung infections. Researchers looked at three groups: people with COVID-19, people with the flu, and people with no viral pneumonia. The goal was to see if COVID-19 increases the chance of getting a ventilator-related infection. Over 1,500 intensive care patients took part.
