Summary
This study looked at how the COVID-19 pandemic changed healthcare and affected the quality of life of over 5,000 Dutch patients who had surgery or another medical procedure in 2020-2021. Researchers created a survey to capture patients' experiences and linked their answers to national health records. The goal was to understand what patients went through during that time, not to test a new treatment.
