Could a 30-Second chair test help ERs decide who to send home during COVID?
NCT ID NCT04730661
Summary
This study tested whether adding a simple 'sit-to-stand' exercise to standard emergency room checks could help doctors make better decisions about which COVID-19 patients needed to be hospitalized. Researchers wanted to see if this test could safely reduce unnecessary hospital admissions by better identifying patients who could recover at home. The study involved 54 adults who came to the emergency room with confirmed COVID-19 but were not in immediate critical condition.
