Could a simple chair test save hospital beds during COVID?

NCT ID NCT04730661

Summary

This study tested whether adding a simple 'sit-to-stand' exercise to standard emergency room checks could help doctors make better decisions about which COVID-19 patients truly need to be admitted to the hospital. Researchers enrolled 54 adults who came to the emergency room with confirmed COVID-19 to see if this quick physical test could safely identify patients well enough to recover at home, aiming to reduce unnecessary hospital stays.
