Summary
This study looked at 600 adults with severe COVID-19 lung failure who were treated with high-flow nasal oxygen and placed on their stomachs while awake. The goal was to see if this combination could reduce the need for a breathing tube and lower death rates. Researchers also wanted to find out which patients were more likely to need a ventilator despite this treatment.
