Summary
This study tests a stepped alcohol treatment program delivered via telemedicine for 180 adults with chronic liver disease and unhealthy alcohol use. Participants are randomly assigned to either the treatment program (motivational interviewing plus possible addiction medicine referral) or usual care. The goal is to see if the program helps reduce drinking and improve liver health over 6 to 12 months.
