Can a simple chat keep birth control in place? new trial investigates
NCT ID NCT07271836
Summary
This study aims to see if structured counseling can help women who want to remove their long-acting birth control (like IUDs or implants) early decide to continue using it instead. Researchers in Pakistan will enroll 900 women and randomly assign them to either receive special counseling or have the device removed as requested. The main goal is to check if counseling increases the number of women still using their birth control method six months later.
