Summary
This study looks at whether common treatments—antibiotics for wet coughs and inhaled steroids for dry coughs—help children whose cough lasts more than four weeks. About 100 children will receive either the real medicine or a placebo, and neither they nor their doctors will know which. The goal is to see if these treatments actually stop the cough faster than a placebo, so doctors can avoid giving unnecessary medicine.
