Could a $1,000 device save money by protecting kidneys during heart surgery?
NCT ID NCT07108634
Summary
This study aimed to see if a medical device called RenalGuard Therapy, which helps manage a patient's fluids during surgery, is worth the cost for the UK's healthcare system. It planned to look back at the medical records of patients who had heart surgery to compare costs and health outcomes between those who did and did not develop kidney injury. The study was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
