First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a single antihistamine works just as well as combining it with a corticosteroid for treating sudden hives in the emergency department. 137 adults with acute hives (with or without mild swelling) took part. The goal was to see if skipping steroids could still control symptoms effectively.
