First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether corticosteroids can improve swallowing in people with EGJOO, a condition where the esophagus doesn't relax properly, causing food to get stuck. Researchers suspect an allergy may be involved. Twelve adults with confirmed EGJOO will receive the medication, and doctors will measure changes in esophageal muscle function. The goal is to see if this drug can ease symptoms like trouble swallowing and chest pain.
