First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests a device that uses ultraviolet light and riboflavin (vitamin B2) drops to stiffen the cornea, the clear front part of the eye. It is for people aged 10 and older with keratoconus or similar conditions that cause the cornea to bulge and thin, leading to blurry vision. The goal is to stop the disease from getting worse and possibly improve eyesight. About 500 participants will be followed to check vision changes and eye shape over time.
