First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a specific change in the Corin gene (called I555/P568) raises the risk of high blood pressure in people of African descent in Guadeloupe. Researchers will compare 370 adults—some with high blood pressure and some without—to see if this gene variant is more common in those with hypertension. The goal is to better understand why high blood pressure is so prevalent in this population.
