Core training boosts young Athletes' breathing and stamina
NCT ID NCT06728267
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether a 6-week core stabilization exercise program could improve trunk muscle endurance, breathing function, and quality of life in children and teens aged 9-17 who play underwater rugby. Thirty participants were split into two groups: one did core exercises plus regular training, while the other only did regular training. Researchers measured muscle endurance, breathing strength, blood oxygen, blood pressure, and quality of life before and after the program. The goal was to see if adding core training offers extra benefits for these young athletes.
