First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares eye drops made from umbilical cord blood plasma to standard artificial tears for treating moderate to severe dry eye disease. About 100 adults with dry eye and corneal damage will receive either the cord blood drops or artificial tears for two months. The goal is to see if the cord blood drops, which contain natural healing factors, better improve eye surface health and reduce discomfort.
