NCT ID NCT07162974

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tested whether citrate mixtures can safely dissolve large, coral-shaped urate kidney stones. Forty-nine adults with these stones took citrate to make their urine less acidic, aiming to shrink the stones and protect kidney function. The main goal was to see if the stones got smaller or less dense using CT scans.
