Mind over gut: can stress relief boost Crohn's treatment?

NCT ID NCT06512597

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a coping skills program to standard biologic medication helps people with Crohn's disease feel better emotionally and physically. About 170 adults with active Crohn's for less than 5 years will be randomly assigned to receive either the coping program or a placebo version alongside their biologic. The goal is to see if this combination improves well-being and leads to higher rates of remission over 12 months.
