Night breathing clues may predict ventilator success in COPD patients

NCT ID NCT07414108

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at 25 people with COPD and high carbon dioxide levels who need a breathing mask (non-invasive ventilation) to help them breathe. Researchers want to see if nighttime breathing problems can predict how well the treatment works over 6 to 12 months. They will also check lung function, diaphragm health, and how often patients need hospital care. The goal is to better understand who benefits most from this therapy.
