Online tool reveals missed opportunities in COPD care
NCT ID NCT06659666
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at 100 people with COPD in Dutch general practices to see if their treatment could be improved. Doctors used an online tool called the COPD Optimiser to check if patients were getting the best care based on international guidelines. The goal was to find common areas where management could be better, not to test a new treatment. Participants had one extra visit and a finger-prick blood test.
