Zap and move: can new exercises help COPD patients leave hospital stronger?
NCT ID NCT05480566
Summary
This study tested if adding special exercises and gentle electrical muscle stimulation to standard hospital care helps people recovering from a severe COPD flare-up. Researchers compared patients who did these extra activities to those who received usual care. The goal was to see if the added therapy improved patients' leg strength, reduced feelings of breathlessness and tiredness, and helped prevent them from needing to return to the hospital.
