COPD study tracks white blood cell recovery after severe attacks
NCT ID NCT06188065
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at why some people hospitalized for a severe COPD flare-up have low levels of a certain white blood cell (eosinopenia) and how long it takes for those levels to return to normal. Researchers will track 200 patients to find patterns and recovery times. The goal is to better understand the body's response during severe COPD episodes, not to test a new treatment.
