First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests if painting roofs with a special reflective coating can improve health by keeping homes cooler. Researchers will give 800 people in hot cities in Burkina Faso, Mexico, India, and Niue smartwatches to track their heart rate, sleep, and physical activity. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost fix can help communities adapt to rising temperatures from climate change.
