First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding surgery after chemotherapy can help people with stage IV stomach cancer that has spread to the abdomen lining live longer. About 300 adults whose cancer responded well to initial treatment will be randomly assigned to either continue chemotherapy alone or have surgery followed by more chemotherapy. The main goal is to see if the surgery group has better overall survival and quality of life.
