New device aims to seal brain aneurysms without open surgery

Summary
This study tests a device called the Contour Neurovascular System for treating wide-necked brain aneurysms. The device is placed inside the aneurysm to block blood flow and prevent rupture. About 250 adults with a single brain aneurysm will receive the treatment and be followed for 2 years to check safety and effectiveness.
