First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compares a new cone beam breast CT scan to standard mammography for breast cancer screening. About 1,000 women from routine screening or diagnostic groups will receive both scans within 4 weeks. Researchers will measure radiation dose and how often each method requires additional testing (recall rates). The goal is to see if the new scan is as good or better than mammography.
