Inflatable boots aim to pump away heart failure swelling

NCT ID NCT07377019

Summary

This study is testing whether special inflatable boots that rhythmically squeeze the legs can help people hospitalized with worsening heart failure. The boots are meant to help move excess fluid out of the legs, which may help the heart and kidneys work better. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the boot therapy along with standard water pill treatment, or just the standard treatment alone, to see if the boots are safe and helpful.
