Summary

This study looked at two different ways to help patients breathe during robot-assisted prostate surgery. Fifty men having their prostate removed were given either flow-controlled or volume-controlled ventilation. The goal was to see which method led to better oxygen levels and easier breathing. The study used a special imaging tool to monitor lung function in real time.
