First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 90 adults with severe ARDS (a serious lung condition) who were on breathing machines. Researchers compared two ventilator methods—airway pressure release ventilation (APRV) and pressure regulated volume control (PRVC)—to see which one better improved lung function and oxygen levels. The goal was to find a more effective way to open up damaged lungs and help patients breathe easier.
