Scientists test best vein for Kids' IV catheters

Summary
This study compares two ways to place a midline catheter (a type of IV) in children aged 2 to 17. One method uses the basilic vein, the other the cephalic vein. The goal is to see which approach allows easier blood draws and causes fewer complications. 96 children will take part to help improve care.
