First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at two different veins (basilic and cephalic) for placing a midline catheter in children aged 2 to 17 who need one during surgery. The goal is to see which vein allows easier blood draws and causes fewer problems. About 96 children will take part, and the results will help doctors choose the best approach.
