First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to treat gum disease without surgery: an ultrasonic tool (Vector®) and special hand instruments (Mini-Five curettes). About 36 adults with moderate to severe gum disease will be randomly assigned to one treatment. Researchers will measure gum pocket depth and bone levels over 12 months to see which method is more effective and less painful.
