New study pits scope vs. scalpel for stomach blockage relief

Summary
This study compares two procedures to relieve a stomach blockage caused by cancer: a newer method using an endoscope (EUS-GJ) and traditional surgery (S-GJ). About 70 adults with advanced cancer who cannot eat normally will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures. The goal is to see which approach is safer and helps patients eat sooner.
