New lens material may sharpen vision after cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT07158177

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study compares two different materials used in multifocal lenses for cataract surgery. 40 people will receive one type of lens in each eye. The goal is to see which lens provides better contrast sensitivity (ability to see differences in light and dark) 3 months after surgery. This is a small, early-stage study that may help improve lens choices for future patients.
